Some roads in Istanbul will be closed to traffic tomorrow

Due to the “Istanbul Running” event organized by Spor Istanbul tomorrow, some roads will be closed to traffic.

As part of the European stage of the “Istanbul Running” event organized by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) subsidiary Spor Istanbul, certain roads in the city will be closed to traffic tomorrow.

According to a statement from IMM, the event, which will be held under the theme of “Colour Run,” will take place tomorrow.

Due to the event, which has registered a total of 6,000 participants, some roads in Istanbul’s historic Peninsula area will be closed to traffic.

Kennedy Avenue in the directions of Eminönü-Yenikapı and Zeytinburnu-Yenikapı, as well as Namık Kemal and Mustafa Kemal Avenues, Segah, Kumluk, Şair Sermet, Aksakal, and Ahırkapı Streets, will not have traffic flow from 06:00 to 11:00.

Athletes will first run 10 kilometers starting at 08:30 in Yenikapı. They will then compete in a 5-kilometer race, which will begin at 08:45. The athletes running the 10 kilometers will turn back after passing through the Gülhane Gate and finish the race again in Yenikapı.
