Israeli army launches heavy attacks on Hezbollah in Beirut

The Israeli army is launching heavy attacks on the Dahiyeh area, a Hezbollah stronghold in the Lebanese capital Beirut.

The Israeli army has been targeting the al-Laylaki and al-Hadas neighborhoods in the Dahiyeh area, south of Beirut, where Hezbollah is strong, with airstrikes for more than an hour.

According to the news in Anadolu Agency, the sounds of Israeli airstrikes targeting buildings in the Dahiyeh area can be heard from many parts of Beirut.

According to al-Mayadeen TV, which is close to Hezbollah, the Israeli army bombed residential buildings in the neighborhoods of Leyleki and Hadas in Dahiyeh.

In the news report, it was argued that the buildings were not the buildings housing Hezbollah’s weapons, as Israel claimed, and it was pointed out that there was no loss of life in the buildings hit so far in the Leyleki neighborhood.

Israeli Army Spokesman Daniel Hagari said, “We will target strategic buildings belonging to Hezbollah. We are still studying the results of the attack on Hezbollah’s central headquarters, our attack was a precision operation.”

Army spokesperson Hagari said that patrol planes were circulating at Beirut Airport and that they would “not allow enemy elements to land.”

In the Israeli airstrikes on Beirut in the evening, 6 people were killed and 91 people were injured.
